BO-JOE |
This is my 3rd year in Kleskun 4-H Multi Club. I joined 4-H because I love animals and enjoy spending time with them and caring for them. The 4-H steers get a very nice life compared to feedlot steers.
I chose this steer because he was always a heavy guy as a calf, even though we calve late on the grass, and he had a good temperament, which makes it easier to work with him. Coincidentally, Bo-Joe is the brother to my first 4-H steer Bawler.
One of my favorite things is calving season. I like seeing all the baby calves and taming the curious ones. I spend the summer taking our Side by Side out to the pasture to do cow/calf checks. My previous 4-H Heifer project is now 2 years old and going into our bred heifer program. I will have a calf of my own next spring.
This year I received 2nd place in Intermediate Speeches at Public Speaking.
I would like to send a special thank you to my previous buyers Bar H5 Livestock.
